Bolour Kalibar, MA, RP, CICAPP
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
With over eight years of clinical experience, I try to tailor each session to your individual needs, creating a calm and supportive setting where you can slow down, breathe, and settle into yourself. These sessions are designed to feel grounding and welcoming, something you can look forward to as a steady place to reflect, understand your inner experience, and move at your own pace.
My approach focuses on revealing, understanding, and working through the underlying emotional processes that often sit beneath symptoms, drawing on evidence-based interventions within a comprehensive and collaborative treatment plan. Sessions are offered both in-person and online to individuals of all ages.
Rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, my work centres on helping clients explore unconscious patterns, relational dynamics, and deeper internal conflicts that shape present experience. Rather than quick solutions, I aim to offer a thoughtful and structured process where deeper self-understanding and meaningful psychological change can unfold over time.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology and a postgraduate diploma from the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP). My four years of specialized psychoanalytic psychotherapy training, alongside additional psychodynamic work with adults, support an in-depth, insight-oriented approach. I also draw on advanced training in Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Play Therapy, and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), allowing me to adapt the work to each person’s needs and goals.
