Emotional struggles mark us all as human. My training and orientation is a treatment approach that honours your unique sense of self. I begin psychotherapy services based on an assessment of your or your child’s presenting concerns and identifying strengths, and then move towards a collaborative treatment phase if further intervention is indicated. In the context of a helpful therapeutic relationship, you and I (or your child and I) will try to make sense of difficult feelings, symptoms and troublesome relationships. We work collaboratively, at your/your child’s pace, in creating and addressing your therapeutic goals. I draw from numerous effective treatment approaches to support you/your child in your path towards healing and recovery.

I have worked in the field of mental health for over a dozen years. I offer assessment, treatment planning, and individual art therapy and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health, behavioural, emotional, social, developmental, and psychological difficulties. I have specialized training in children's mental health, anti-racist/anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed practices. I also help parents and caregivers sort out the challenges of parenting.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist, and Canadian Certified Counsellor. Upon completion of my graduate studies at Concordia University, I embarked on further training and completed a specialization in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP).

Over my career, I have practiced with individuals and families of all ages in child welfare, schools, trauma centres, addiction rehabilitation centres, correctional facilities, and private practice. Alongside my colleagues at The Arterie, I co-design and co-facilitate experiential workshops for staff in a variety of corporate, community, and healthcare settings with a focus on creativity, well-being and self-care. I'm also a faculty member at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI) and the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP), where I teach training therapists about theory and clinical practice.
