Emotional struggles are part of being human, and no two journeys are the same. My approach to psychotherapy honours your unique sense of self and begins with a careful assessment of your (or your child’s) concerns, while also paying attention to strengths and inner resources. From there, if further support is needed, we move into a collaborative treatment process. Together, within the safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship, we work to make sense of difficult feelings, troubling symptoms, and/or challenging relationships. The pace is always set by you or your child, and your therapeutic goals guide our work together. I draw from a variety of approaches to support healing and recovery in a way that feels meaningful and effective.

I have trained and worked in the field of mental health for 15 years; offering assessment, treatment planning, art therapy, and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is rooted in specialized training in children’s mental health, trauma-informed care, and anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices. I also work closely with parents and caregivers, helping them sort through the many challenges that come with raising children.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist, and Canadian Certified Counsellor. After completing my graduate studies at Concordia University, I went on to complete advanced training in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP).

Over the years, I have supported individuals and families in a wide variety of settings, including child welfare, schools, trauma centres, rehabilitation programs, correctional facilities, and private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I co-create and lead workshops with my colleagues at The Arterie, focusing on creativity, well-being, and self-care for staff in corporate, community, and healthcare organizations. Teaching and research are also meaningful parts of my professional life. I have served as a faculty member and research advisor at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI), and I am currently a faculty member and supervisor with CICAPP, where I support training psychotherapists in developing their knowledge of theory and clinical practice.
